On June 16th 2017 , Andrea Cipriani, the Editor of Evidence-Based Mental Health, organised a hangout about ECT in mood disorders that was chaired by Michael Ostacher (Stanford University). This was in response to a recent review about maintenance ECT by Dr Dusan Kolan (Queen’s University, Ontario), which was presented by the author. Discussants included Tom Birkenhager (Erasmus University), Declan McLoughlin (Trinity College Dublin), Rupert Mc Shane (Oxford University), and Harold Sackeim (Columbia University).
